Michael Wendler: Off on DSDS and the Crown Conspiracy Theories

[ad_1]

The 48-year-old named the federal government and the media in the crown pandemic as the reason. RTL was completely shocked by Wendler’s statements, “both about the departure of ‘DSDS’ and about his conspiracy theories,” the broadcaster said when asked by the German press agency. “We expressly distance ourselves from this.”

Wendler speaks of “politically controlled” media

In his Instagram story, which is available 24 hours a day, Wendler justifies his decision in an apparently read statement. He said he was accusing the federal government of “grave and grave violations of the constitution and Basic Law” in the Corona crisis. He also accused television stations – including RTL – of being “aligned” and “politically controlled.”

Bohlen jokes at Wendler’s expense

For Wendler, known for hits like “She loves the DJ” and “Egal,” it should be the first season on the “DSDS” jury. Filming had already started and new episodes will air from January. The head of the jury, Dieter Bohlen, also commented on Wendler’s statements via Instagram: Everyone was to blame, only in rare cases he was not, Bohlen joked.

Kaufland withdraws commercial

Wendler himself had made headlines Thursday morning for a commercial for the Kaufland department store chain. In the clip, which was aimed at social media, the 48-year-old sings a repositioned version of his song “Egal” – “Regal.”

The supermarket chain reacted promptly to the pop singer’s statements at night. “Our video with Michael Wendler was about fun and irony. However, the limit was reached when people play with people’s safety and health,” said Kaufland’s Twitter account. “That is why we removed all content from Wendler and distanced ourselves from their statements.” Kaufland used the hashtag: “#nichtegal”.

Pocher does a special show with Wendler’s manager

Oliver Pocher, who lately likes to crawl for cocoa over and over “the Wendler” as his fans call him, showed a special edition of his RTL show “Pocher – dangerously honest!” That night. “If it weren’t so sad, you could almost laugh,” Pocher said. It’s “really absolute insanity.”

Wendler’s manager, Markus Krampe, was also invited to the show. “It’s a shock to me too,” said Krampe, who was visibly upset. He is concerned about Michael, but these attitudes have been manifesting over a longer period of time.

It was unclear how things will continue: Until now, Wendler and his wife Laura, 30 years younger, were known to television audiences primarily for their own documentary soap opera. Spicy: Wendler followed singer Xavier Naidoo of all things on DSDS. After lines of political text in a video, he was exposed to violent accusations of racism and lost his job at RTL.

Speculation: Is the video fake?

However, suspicions are also circulating online that the statement could be a fake video and a public relations joke. At least the linked Telegram channel is said to have been created by a satirist to show that no investigation is being conducted or that the fakes are easy to do. More on this in the following tweets.
