The number of new infections continues to rise. 750 new cases were reported on Monday, most of them in Vienna (315), Upper Austria and Tyrol (106) and Lower Austria (97).

It is not known whether the increase in Tyrol has to do with swimmers infected with the corona virus in Therme Fügen (Schwaz district). As reported by “Heute”, the Tyrolean health authority launched a public appeal last week.
As of today (October 5, 2020, 9:30 am), 818 people in Austria have died as a result of the corona virus, five in the last 24 hours alone. A woman (95) and a man (80) died in Vienna.
