The president of the United States and his wife said they had tested positive for the corona virus. Trump’s close adviser Hope Hicks was previously known to have been infected.
US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania contracted the corona virus. “We will begin our quarantine and recovery immediately. We will get through it TOGETHER,” Trump wrote on Friday night (local time) on Twitter. The United States is in the final stretch of the November 3 election, in which Trump is running for a second term.
According to First Lady Melania, the couple is doing well after the corona diagnosis. “Like many other Americans this year, the President of the United States and I are quarantined at home after testing positive for Covid-19. We are fine and I have canceled all future commitments,” Melania Trump wrote on Friday on Twitter.
“Please take care, we will all get through this together,” the first lady continued.

The personal physician of the president of the United States hopes that Donald Trump can continue with his official business “without interruption” despite his corona infection. Sean Conley said in a statement Friday night (local time) that Trump and his wife Melania are fine and that the two would stay at the White House while they recover.
“Please be assured that I look to the President to continue to serve uninterruptedly during his recovery,” Conley said. He and the White House medical team would be watching. Conley made it clear that the president and first lady have the support of some of the “greatest” medical experts and institutions in the country.

Trump had previously confirmed that his close adviser Hope Hicks had tested positive for the virus. There have been corona infections in the vicinity of Trump. However, Hicks spends a lot of time with Trump and First Lady Melania.
According to constant media reports, the adviser flew to Cleveland with Trump on Tuesday on the Air Force One presidential plane for the televised debate, where Trump met with his Democratic challenger Joe Biden. On Wednesday, he traveled to Minnesota for an election campaign appearance.
In the corona pandemic, Trump is repeatedly accused of not taking seriously the danger posed by the virus. More recently, he had made numerous major campaign appearances again.
