Jurij Rodionov fought Norbert Gombos in the fourth set and lost his second round match there.

The second set started much better for Rodionov than the first: it made it 1-0 and turned the second break in the second game. Rodionov had made it to the game, even if the Slovakian immediately managed the rebreak. With a powerful blow in the fifth game, Rodionov forced his opponent to make a weak stopball that got stuck on the edge of the net.
