Elected judge and attorney
Pilgermair is a “very routine, very competent proposal” that was already a procedural judge in the Hypo-U Committee of the National Council, emphasized the president of the State Parliament, Verena Dunst (SPÖ). Kasper also has experience as a deputy trial lawyer in the Eurofighter U Committee. Pilgermair’s alternate will be Beate Matschnig, former judge at the Vienna Regional Criminal Court. First surprise in the U committee
At the constituent meeting, criticism of the leader of the ÖVP parliamentary group, Markus Ulram, who criticized the fact that a proposed decision on tests had not been put on the agenda, caused a stir. President Dunst responded with harsh criticism of the Popular Party, which had submitted the request for evidence ten minutes before the meeting. “I will not let this U-Committee degenerate into a political show. People didn’t deserve it,” Dunst emphasized. Even at the first meeting, Ulram tried to “charge for political change.”
This generates a negative impression on the population: “A lot of money is spent there, but nothing happens because politicians simply hit their heads,” he emphasized. Nor does it allow criticism of the speed with which the preparation of the U-Committee is taking place. “There is no other state that has incorporated a U-Committee so quickly,” Dunst said.
