Innsbruck – The governor of Tyrol, Günther Platter, regretted the inclusion of Tyrol in the list of corona risk areas in Germany. That was a “hard blow” for Tyrol as a business location, the ÖVP politician told the ORF “ZiB 2” on Friday evening. This is the existence of many Tyrolese, including people who are not directly employed in tourism, such as examples from Platter called “bakers” or plumbers.

“We have to end the new infections,” Platter said. After all, Tyrol wants to get off the German “list” so that “we have a decent winter season”. This will be possible because there will be no “Apres Ski with Hully Gully” next winter.
The fact that “so many people got infected” at the Ischgl Tyrolean ski resort last winter was “under their fingernails,” Platter said. He regrets this. But in the “last three months” of 1,800 people infected in Tyrol, “only 55 were foreign guests.” This shows that tourism measures are having an impact. It is up to the individual to take responsibility, but if necessary, the executive will also step in.
