Due to the travel advisory for Vorarlberg, Lindau District Administrator Elmar Stegmann issued a blanket decree aimed at regulating small border traffic. Shopping trips are prohibited
The general decree also regulates shopping trips to Germany. As of now, these are only possible with a negative test result. Also, people from Vorarlberg cannot visit restaurants in Germany, Stegmann said.
Solution for travelers
A solution is emerging for travelers. Vorarlberg people working in Germany can spend the entire weekend, that is, up to 72 hours, in Vorarlberg without having to be quarantined.
Vorarlbergers can visit their family or partner in Germany despite the travel advisory. The care and assistance of people in need of protection is allowed, as well as the care of animals or urgent medical treatment.
