On Wednesday, 10,788 Germans had to search #Wikipedia for the first time to see where this “Vorarlberg” really is.
Germany classified Vorarlberg as a corona risk area on Wednesday night and issued a travel warning. The German Robert Koch Institute (RKI) included Vorarlberg and the regions of ten other European countries in the list of risk areas.
But anyway, where is Vorarlberg ?, many Germans seem to have immediately wondered. They researched on Wikipedia where this Vorarlberg is located, which they should no longer travel to due to their government’s travel warning …
… and what you need to know about our state.

Vorarlberg is described as follows on Wikipedia:
“Vorarlberg is a federal state in the west of the Republic of Austria. The state capital is Bregenz. Also known as Ländle, it is the westernmost federal state and the second smallest in Austria in terms of area and population.
Many forms of culture in Vorarlberg differ from the rest of Austria. For example, the Upper and Upper Germanic (Vorarlbergerisch) dialects are spoken which, apart from the smaller linguistic islands of Tyrol, are not found in the rest of Austria. ”
