Bad news for all Altach fans:
In the Bundesliga home game against WSG Tirol on Saturday (LIVE from 5pm on LAOLA1 ticker >>>>) only 500 fans are allowed in the stadium instead of the originally planned 3000.
This regulatory change was communicated to the SCR on Friday.
Catering at the Cashpoint Arena will also be closed. Tickets that have already been purchased will be reversed. “Due to the short-term nature, a fair lottery procedure is no longer possible,” says a press release. The 500 tickets are now evenly distributed among season ticket holders, business card holders and officials.
Altach “deeply disappointed”
The business card holders would be personally contacted by the association, subscribers would have the opportunity to register, according to the association. Followers will be contacted in the next few days regarding the rollback.
“We are deeply disappointed and have to accept this decision of the district administration, which is unique in Austria. Above all, the immediate implementation of this decision is an extreme burden for us. I am especially sorry for our loyal subscribers and fans, whom we have to disappoint, “says Altach’s CEO. Christoph Längle.
They understand that everything possible must be done to avoid a second lockdown in times of the coronavirus pandemic. “But I see the short-term nature of this measure as over-the-top activism to make up for the failures of recent weeks,” Längle says angrily.
