Six deaths in 24 hours. Strong increase in patients from Covid hospital.
After two days with fewer than 700 new infections, Austria again registered 832 corona positives in 24 hours, 431 of them in Vienna.
Furthermore, the hospitalization rate is increasing: in Austria by 12 percent, in Vienna by 30 percent in just one day. A total of 422 patients with Covid-19 are already in hospital treatment, 78 in intensive care units.
Unfortunately, six people also died as a result of the coronavirus, including two men under the age of 60. There are also clusters in two nursing homes in Styria. Nursing homes are also said to have been hit again in Vienna.

The measures implemented this week will take between ten and 14 days to take effect. Experts expect a further increase in the coming days. A manager of the Red Cross had already announced at the weekend: The “number of Covid patients” also in intensive care units “will probably increase dramatically”.
A trend that can also be observed internationally, in Spain, France. Younger people infected during the summer have now infected middle-aged and older people in Austria.
