From Wednesday to Thursday, the number of new corona infections increased slightly again, there were 832 new infections. This means that there are currently 8,372 infected people in Austria.
712 people have recovered since Thursday. There were also six new deaths. A total of 40,816 people have been infected with Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic.
1,210,568 tests have been conducted since the start of the pandemic. 17,441 tests were added on Thursday.
Most new infections in Vienna
Most new corona infections were recorded in Vienna (431), the maximum in Vienna was 444.
Thus, 14,257 positive test results have been confirmed to date in Vienna, as announced by the city’s crisis team. 7,016 tests were conducted on Wednesday.
The number of virus-related deaths in Vienna rose from three to 243. 9,579 people have now recovered in Vienna.
