Last week there was a video on social media that showed a young man being beaten. The Vienna State Criminal Investigation Office, which investigates gang crimes, took over the investigation. The 15-year-old victim was quickly investigated and asked about the recordings.
He is said to have been on his way home from a study meeting with a friend when the suspect suddenly stopped him, punched him in the face and kicked him without warning.
Police are looking for more victims
The alleged perpetrator asked him not to see the girl again. Now investigators were able to investigate the alleged fraud. He is also a 15-year-old Chechen.
Investigations were already underway against him on suspicion of theft, for which an arrest warrant was issued. On Friday he was arrested at his homeless address and taken to prison.
