A total of 563 new corona cases were reported Monday. Most of them not in Vienna, but in Lower Austria.
On Monday, 563 new infections were reported in Austria. Since there are fewer tests on the weekend, the numbers are usually lower. This time, Lower Austria recorded the largest increase at 181; it is the worst Crown day in the largest federal state since the start of the pandemic. There were 172 new infections in Vienna and 66 in Upper Austria.

So far there have been 38,658 positive results in Austria. As of today (September 21, 2020, 9:30 am), 767 people in Austria have died from the consequences of the corona virus and 29,516 have recovered. Currently, 364 people are in hospital treatment for the corona virus and 67 of them are in intensive care units.
Why the numbers on the board may differ
The dashboard of the Ministry of Health is a dynamic system and extracts its data from the Epidemiological Population Registry (EMS). The EMS is the official registry in which the district authorities and laboratories enter. According to the Ministry of the Interior, there may be delays in making entries, especially in the morning.
In the Ministry of the Interior, on the other hand, the figures are collected through a videoconference as part of the coordination of state crisis and disaster management at the Operations and Coordination Center (EKC). These figures may include cases that are not yet registered with EMS.
