Won’t defender Lukas Spendlhofer move to Greece after all? The defensive player has denied through Instagram rumors that a move to AE Larisa has already been arranged.
Spendlhofer described the transfer completion report in an Instagram story as “fake news.” “Everything that is in the media does not correspond to the truth!” Spendlhofer wrote on the platform Sunday. “I’m still under contract with @sksturm!”
Previously, both the Austrian and Greek media had already announced the transfer as fixed and referred to a broadcast of the Greek first division club. Among other things, a corresponding completion notification is said to have appeared on the club’s website. Since then, the entry has been removed.
Spendlhofer has been a SK Sturm Graz player since 2014. The former youth team player played 184 competitive matches for the Bundesliga side, but under coach Christian Ilzer, the 27-year-old had no prospect of playing recently.
