The young man from the Linz-Land district collided with an oncoming car and was seriously injured on the B1, police report.
At around 3:10 pm at the intersection with Friedhofstrasse, he drove towards Wels and was hit by the car. The driver, a 23-year-old from the Linz-Land district, turned left onto Langholzfeld when the traffic light was green.
In the collision, the motorcyclist hit the hood or windshield of the car and a paramedic passing by the scene gave first aid. The emergency doctor then treated the seriously injured and took them with the ambulance to UKH in Linz.
A motorcyclist also had an accident on Sunday on the B38 in the Freistadt district. The 40-year-old German fell around 11:20 a.m. after losing control of her two-wheeler while passing a car. The Red Cross took the wounded man to the Kepler Clinic after first aid from the emergency doctor.
A motorcycle driver and his passenger were in a fatal accident in the Hollabrunn district on Sunday.
