2. League: Klagenfurt and Innsbruck play a draw

Behind the two candidates for promotion, SV Licht-Loidl Lafnitz is tied for third after a 2-2 draw against SKU Ertl Glas Amstetten. The duel between the newly promoted Rapid II and Juniors Upper Austria, which ended 1: 1, also shared points. With Rapids Adrian Hajdari (74th / red) and on the other hand Sebastian Wimmer (79th) and Jan Boller (86th / each yellow-red) three players were excluded.

Kapfenberg gave up the red bluff with a clear 3-0 away win at Vorwärts Steyr, in which Paul Mensah scored twice. In addition, the GAK celebrated its first victory of the season. The Graz team also won 4-2 at Young Violets Austria Wien abroad.

Klagenfurt too inefficient

The Klagenfurters developed a significant increase in opportunities at Birkenwiese, but only rewarded themselves shortly after the break. After a cross by Oliver Markoutz, Patrick Greil (54th) pushed the ball over the line from four meters.

Since the guests skipped the preliminary decision, it remained exciting. And missed opportunities still come. An Egzon Shabani cross brought disgruntled Klagenfurt to their own goal (85). The final offense brought nothing else, Dornbirn also had the necessary luck in one or another action.

Wacker desperate for a defensive FAC

The match was dominated by the Tyrolese against the FAC, but they rarely found the best opportunities. The Viennese were only eager to close the rear. After a goal stealing foul from Wacker captain Lukas Hupfauf to Marco Sahanek, including exclusion (83), they nearly managed to score the lucky winner. Marco Knaller was not surprised by Sahanek’s free kick from 17 meters.

In the 96th minute, Darijo Grujcic missed a match point on the other side. The FAC was missing two players who had tested positive for the corona virus on Tuesday. Bierofka relied exactly on the starting XI that won 3-0 at Kapfenberg last week.

In the last game on Friday, Lafnitz missed the jump to the top of the table with a 2-2 draw at home against Amstetten. The goals of Christoph Kröpfl (13th) and Milos Jovicic (31st) were very few, as Sebastian Dirnberger (12th) and David Peham (39th) also scored for Lower Austria. For Amstetten it was the second draw in the second game.
