On Thursday evening, the Crown Commission again assessed the epidemiological development and determined an increased risk of infection in the regions of Austria. Not a single federal state is now pure green.
Also in Salzburg, Carinthia and especially in Burgenland there are now yellow areas (“medium risk”) at the crown traffic light. Not a single federal state is pure green.
Corona traffic light: some districts yellow, Zwettel turns orange
Specifically, in Burgenland Eisenstadt Stadt, Rust Stadt and Eisenstadt Umgebung, in Carinthia the district Villach Stadt, in Tyrol the district Imst and Salzburg Stadt were rated as yellow. In Lower Austria, the Zwettl district went from yellow to orange (“high risk”). All other districts were unchanged in their assessment, the commission announced in the evening.
Official traffic lights will turn on on Friday
The last traffic light change will be published on Friday at https://corona-ampel.gv.at and in teletext on page 659. The Corona Commission’s evaluation, it was explained, was made taking into account the risk of transmission, the traceability of transmission chains, test activity and use of hospital resources.
