The Ibiza U Committee will continue on Wednesday and Thursday. In doing so, OMV and the “Gemstone Project” are scrutinized.

The next meetings of the Ibiza investigation commission on Wednesday and Thursday will not be as prominent as in recent weeks. However, the polls could be informative, as they are still dealing with the issues of job filling and the “Edelstein Project”, that is, the alleged privatization plans of the Federal Computing Center.

Wednesday: invited the head of OMV and the OMV supervisory board

In addition to the state holding company ÖBAG, the parliamentary groups will also closely examine OMV. That is why the head of OMV, Rainer Seele, and the chairman of the supervisory board, Wolfgang Berndt, are invited on Wednesday. On this day, a department head from the Ministry of Finance will also be available to answer questions from deputies.

“Project Edelstein” in focus Thursday

On Thursday, the “Gemstones Project” – that is, the sale of the Federal Computing Center (BRZ) to the partially private post office, which is apparently planned in turquoise blue – moves downtown. Edith Hlawati, chair of Post AG’s supervisory board, and head of Post AG’s public law and regulatory management team, Torsten Marx, are supposed to provide clarification. Before that, on that day, an executive assistant from ÖBAG will be interviewed by the deputies.
