ÖVP has falsehood in its political DNA – FPÖ is the only constant red-white-red force
Vienna (OTS) – “The ÖVP protests on immigration policy cannot be surpassed in credibility. After all, it was ÖVP Vienna’s lead candidate, Gernot Blümel, who, as the general secretary of the ÖVP at the time, was responsible for the opening of the border in 2015 and the immigration of hundreds of thousands of social migrants. ” said the head and deputy mayor of the Vienna FPÖ, Dominik Nepp.
If Kurz and Blümel now play like strong men, then it is just a matter of covering up their own failure. “Blümel played a key role in determining the ÖVP’s government policy in 2015. The ÖVP has falsehood in its political DNA and changes its government partners and their political line like underwear.”
Nepp points out that the black-green federal government and thus mainly the ÖVP had already allowed 7,000 asylum seekers to come to Austria this year. “In the spring, the borders were apparently only closed to tourists, not social immigrants.”
Nepp warns the Viennese population to opt for the “ÖVP political snack” in the Vienna elections. “The FPÖ is the only counterweight to the red-black-green uniformity and has for decades represented a consistent red-white-red line in the interest of its own population,” emphasizes the head of the FPÖ Vienna.
