According to media reports, Germany is currently examining a travel advisory for Vienna. However, this information has not yet been confirmed.

Switzerland put Vienna on corona risk areas list
On Friday, Switzerland included Vienna in the list of corona risk areas. Starting next Monday, quarantine requirements apply to travelers from Vienna, according to the Keystone-SDA news agency. According to the Foreign Ministry, the quarantine is for 10 days. Participants must report to the responsible cantonal authority within two days. Anyone who fails to comply with the quarantine or notification obligation faces a fine of up to CHF 10,000 (€ 9,279.02). Even a negative Covid test result does not remove the quarantine obligation or shorten the duration of the quarantine, emphasizes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its website.
However, travelers from border regions, for example from Vorarlberg and Tyrol, are generally exempted from the quarantine requirement, even if the number of corona cases increased.
The largest increase in coronavirus infections to date occurred in Vienna from Friday to Saturday. According to the medical crisis team, in 24 hours there was a record increase from 444 cases to a total of 10,655, it was hot on Saturday morning.
