Jürgen Klopp, coach of Premier League champion Liverpool FC, is in favor of returning spectators to English stadiums.
The German Bundesliga should serve as a model, says the 53-year-old ahead of the season against Leeds United on Saturday (starting at 6:30 pm LIVE-TICKER).
“If France and Germany can bring people back and nothing happens, then it should be possible for us as well,” Klopp explains. Soccer is part of many people’s lives. “I hope it happens sooner rather than later,” says the German in the context of the corona pandemic.
Due to security regulations related to the corona virus, the Premier League will continue to be played in front of empty ranks until further notice.
Klopp shows understanding that safe conditions must first be created for spectators in the arenas. I couldn’t decide if this could work. “We are all human and people also want to have a little fun,” said the head coach.
