On Wednesday there were again more than 500 new Covid infections in Austria.

After yesterday’s record number of new corona infections, the number also surpassed 500 on Wednesday and more than half of the new cases were reported from Vienna.
So far, 30,583 positive Covid test results have been obtained in Austria. As of today (September 9, 2020, 9:30 a.m.), 747 people in Austria have died as a result of the virus and 25,764 have recovered.
197 people are currently in hospital treatment for the coronavirus and 36 of them are in intensive care units.
On Wednesday again high number of new corona infections in Vienna
New infections since the last report are distributed among the Austrian federal states as follows:
- Burgenland: 9
- Carinthia: 2
- Lower Austria: 57
- Upper Austria: 73
- Salzburg: 2
- Steiermark: 11
- Tyrol: 76
- Vorarlberg: 14
- Vienna: 258
