Vienna New corona infections in the city of Vienna UNO are not tearing apart: Seven new cases of Covid 19 have now been recorded, UN organizations reported in a message on Monday night. Six of them are employees of the Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA / IAEO), one person works in the Office for the Fight against Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
Thus, new infections are constantly linked to a case that tested positive last Friday in the internal business of the Vienna International Center (VIC), the VIC Commissioner. Its range of products is aimed at employees of UN organizations and diplomats. According to the United Nations Information Service (UNIS), all store personnel were examined and the facility was cleaned.
This means that the number of coronavirus infections in the UN City has risen to a total of 32, of which 24 have already recovered. Outside of Vienna, five other employees of Vienna-based UN organizations are affected.
