Start of Vienna Fashion Week 2020 mit Austrian Fashion Awards – Vienna Fashion Week

Vienna Fashion Week receives a limited number of visitors this year due to the crown crisis. Therefore, at the presentation of the Austrian Fashion Awards (AFA) today Monday evening at the beginning of fashion week in the fashion marquee in the Museumsquartier in Vienna, approximately every second seat will remain empty.

As an added security measure, post-show parties were waived. There are seat tickets, mask requirements, and fever fairs. Only those who have registered in writing with due notice will be admitted. The event points to the continuity of the national fashion scene, despite the Covid pandemic, it was possible to show presence, the organizers had emphasized in advance. The AFA award includes the presentation of the Vienna City Fashion Award and the Outstanding Artist Award for Experimental Fashion Design from the Ministry of Culture. In addition, fashion designers from the Austrian Fashion Association’s funding programs will be featured.
