The driver of the accident was treated by the emergency services at the scene and had to be taken to hospital. Once the wounded man had been treated and after the police dispatch, the firefighters proceeded to recover the vehicle. The vehicle involved in the accident had to be lifted off the railing with a crane and rotated before it could be lifted and loaded onto a tow dolly.
The vehicle was then pulled off the highway and safely parked in a parking lot. After about half an hour, the driveway could reopen to traffic.
