After the special chairman of the U-Committee on Thursday, parliamentary groups unanimously lobbied for the full presentation of the Ibiza video. “There is a unanimous desire for the full video,” National Council President Wolfgang Sobotka (ÖVP) later reported. After all, the video was already the subject of the fundamental decision to take tests, they said in unison. And one hopes that this will happen now. Otherwise, it is not excluded to go to the Constitutional Court (VfGH).
The fact that the media cited the video, but the U-Committee is groping in the dark, is an “unacceptable situation,” Sobotka said. Opposition representatives became clearer: “Very special plantation” (NEOS boss Beate Meinl-Reisinger) or “curious situation that damages parliamentarism as a whole” (SPÖ deputy club boss, Jörg Leichtfried).
If the Ministry of Justice does not have the full video, then the Ministry of the Interior must deliver it. According to the president of the National Council, Wolfgang Sobotka (ÖVP), this is the unanimous wish. Finally, the video was transcribed and processed there.
The Ministry of the Interior is not responsible for handing over the entire Ibiza video to the U-Committee. The Ministry of Justice was on the move, the WKStA had all the material.
