Almost a week before the start of the league, the Bundesliga announces that the season will begin on September 11, at 6:30 p.m., with the match between Rapid Vienna and FC Admira.
The reason for the advance of the game from Saturday (September 12) to Friday (September 11) is a request from the Hütteldorfer, who must pass the Champions League qualification on September 15 at KAA Gent.
“In keeping with the motto ‘Points for Austria’, TV partner Sky, FC Flyeralarm Admira and the Bundesliga have fortunately agreed to postpone the game,” the Bundesliga said in a broadcast.
The match between LASK and Austria, which would have opened the new season as planned, is not affected.
The schedule for the first round at a glance:
Friday, September 11, 6:30 pm: Rapid Vienna – Admire
Friday, September 11, 8:30 pm: LASK – Austria Wien
Saturday, September 12, 5:00 pm: Altach – Hartberg
Sunday September 13, 2:30 pm: SV Ried – WSG Tirol, SKN St. Pölten – Sturm Graz
Sunday, September 13, 5 pm: WAC v Red Bull Salzburg
