At NRW, police are investigating a woman who allegedly killed five of her children. A police spokesman told SPIEGEL. The children’s bodies were discovered in an apartment in Solingen. The dead are three girls of 18 months, 2 and 3 years and two boys of 6 and 8 years.
The spokesperson did not elaborate on what happened. After the fact, the woman tried to commit suicide on a railway track at the central station in Düsseldorf. She survived seriously injured and is currently being treated in a hospital. Another eleven-year-old son of the woman is, according to the police, in “family care.”
