The political scientist calls the fact that Anschober used many comparisons to the normal flu and the Spanish flu in his statement as quite risky. “Anchober meant it very differently and he wanted to point out the dangers of pandemics,” says Stainer-Hämmerle. “Some of his comparisons, however, have taken up the arguments of those who downplayed the crown, that may be counterproductive.”
