For TSV Hartberg, the match against Piast Gliwice in the second qualifying round for the Europa League is a historic club match.
For the first time in the club’s history, the inhabitants of Eastern Styria are represented in European businesses. If Hartberg manages to defeat the Poles in the away tie on September 17, the next clubs would already wait in the third qualifying round.
Hartberg already found out on Tuesday who he would face in the event of a promotion in the third round. Consequently, the next hurdle on the way to the Europa League group stage is IFK Göteborg (SWE) or Copenhagen (DEN). Hartberg would have to play this game.
The third qualifying round will be played in a single game on September 24. After the third round, the playoff would be pending.
