It was a historic step: they were the first Gulf state to resign United Arab Emirates (United Arab Emirates) under its crown prince Muhammad bin Zayid in mid-August to establish diplomatic relations Israel Record. Last week, Foreign Minister Heiko Maas took almost a day to congratulate Israel on the diplomatic rapprochement with the United Arab Emirates. Does the good news overwhelm German diplomacy?
Isacaroff: Good news is not the rule in the Middle East. Not having news is often good news. The deal came as a surprise to many. Only a very small circle knew. What counts is that the German government positively evaluates the agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, which Foreign Minister Heiko Maas immediately communicated and openly expressed to Chancellor Gabi Ashkenazi.
