Age does not protect against punishment. Katharina, a three-year-old from Bad Brückenau (Bavaria), also had to learn that this week. But don’t worry, this notice of the fine was sweet as sugar.
Katharina had parked her tricycle on her parents’ property, but not properly.
Rolled into the street without being seen
Then it happened as it had to happen: the multi-colored vehicle hit the street unseen at night. Police Chief Inspector Andreas Patermann (52) and Police Chief Frederic Keller (23) of the Lower Franconia Presidium passed the “crime scene” around 2.30 am. Officers stopped his car and pushed the gear on the sidewalk.

They took out their book of fines. Incorrect parking must be paid for with “a bag of candy.” Then Patermann and Keller disappeared into the night.
Basket with sweets presented on guard
The next morning, Katharina’s parents found the note. “We laughed a lot,” says Father Andreas Hanstein (28), “and went to the guard the next day.” There the family delivered a large basket of sweets. But because Patermann and Keller weren’t on duty, of all people, they both came to see Katharina in person to thank her for the sweet surprise.
The little boy didn’t understand exactly what a parking ticket is, but he learned something: “We always have to put the tricycle in the garage,” he says. So suck the drop!
