For Austria Lustenau, the ÖFB Cup adventure ends in the first round. Vorarlberg, who was only beaten 5-0 by the Salzburg Masters in last season’s final, must surrender after a 2-1 home loss to the Stripfing.

The Lower Austria team took the lead with an own goal by Michael Lageder (58th), which Benjamin Sulimani increased just six minutes later. Matthias Maak brings tension to the first round match (81) with his connecting goal, but coach Alexander Kiene’s team no longer manages to equalize.

Innsbruck turns the game around

Unlike his league mates, Wacker Innsbruck reaches the second round. The second division defeated the Lower Austrian regional division ASV Schrems 3-1. Jungr gives Schrems an early lead (9th), Florian Jamnig scores a double for the Tyrolese (27th, 43rd), Japan’s Zaizen scores 2-1 for FC Wacker (37th).

The top scorer in the second division, Ronivaldo, from Austria Lustenau, is not part of the Innsbruck squad.

Lafnitz takes his head out of the loop in extra time in the steric duel against Bad Gleichenberg. The 2nd division team rose thanks to a goal from Fabian Wohlmuth in the 99th minute with a 1-0 victory.
