The start of the new Red Bull Salzburg football season should be postponed on short notice. The ÖFB Cup 1st round duel with the regional league team Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz that was scheduled for Saturday (4.30pm) had to be postponed today due to a positive case from Corona at the Vorarlberg camp.

A new game date should be set as soon as possible, according to an announcement from ÖFB in the afternoon.

The avalanche of rejections continued, as it is already the sixth of a total of 32 games that, for the same reason, cannot be played on the weekend as planned. Another Bundesliga club is affected with SCR Altach, who visit Gurten. The match, like the one between Weiz – Elektra, Wallern / ASV St. Marienkirchen – Reichenau-Innsbruck and Wiener Sport-Club – St. Jakob im Rosental, was canceled on Wednesday. On Thursday the postponement of the clash between Vorwärts Steyr and ASK / BSC Bruck / Leitha was announced.
