After the excitement surrounding the reception at the Kleinwalsertal that violated Crown rules, the Federal Chancellery developed a new security concept for the days of the federal state of Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP). With very strict guidelines and in close cooperation with the police, efforts are being made to avoid “spontaneous meetings of people” in the future and to guarantee the distance of 1 meter.
Vienna / Mittelberg. In the future, arrival times will no longer be published in advance. “The police work even more closely” with the local police and administrative authorities to avoid the crowds. During media meetings, camera crews and reporters with floor marks are kept at a distance that is in line with crown protection. There will be “regulated entry” for indoor media events. Outdoor appointments must be secured by the police.
“The right to demonstrate, of course, is not restricted,” stressed the Foreign Ministry in its document on the new concept. The chancellor will have office hours in the federal states to “exchange with the population.” There must be “direct communication”, but “with the necessary rules” to “guarantee maximum security”.
