Two previously unknown perpetrators attacked a money transport driver at a bank in Alkoven (Eferding district) on Wednesday morning. A masked man in a black balaclava waited for the money man in the lobby shortly after 8:00 a.m., threatened him with a gun, and asked with the words “Suitcase!” The case of money. His accomplice was waiting in the escape car on the sidewalk behind the branch.
The messenger traveled alone. As he did not immediately deliver the suitcase, the ruler pointed the gun at the man and snatched the suitcase from him. With that, dressed in a black hooded sweater, gray work gloves, and a white respirator went to the second killer in the car. The two drove on Alte Hauptstrasse and then towards Eferdinger Strasse (B129), from there they fled in an unknown direction.
The money carrier suffered a severe shock. Before the robbery, between 7:00 and 7:50 a.m., the two thieves had stolen the license plates of a vehicle that was parked in the Eferding Pool public parking lot. They were gathered in the small gray-white car with which they fled after the robbery, the Upper Austria State Police Directorate reported Wednesday night.
Initially, a search was unsuccessful. Police are asking witnesses, particularly people who have observed the theft of the plates in Eferding, to report to the long-term service of the State Criminal Police Office at 059133-40-3333.
