Cabaret artist Lukas Resetarits gave way to his anger on Facebook; in the “ZiB2” interview on Monday he did it again.
For cabaret artist Lukas Resetarits, the current way of dealing with cultural workers in Austria was reason enough to clear his anger. In a Facebook video, he is annoyed by statements by Secretary of State Lunacek that people would become infected in the theater because people “spit on each other,” but this was not a problem for the airlines. The video caused a sensation across Austria.
“Disrespectful and downright insulting”
In the “ZiB 2” interview with Armin Wolf, Resetarits was asked again about the video and the background. “I am angry because it is a disregard for our entire industry,” said the cabaret artist. They had been calm for a month and had not moved, but the other side had not come either. “It is disrespectful and downright insulting.”
Statements by Secretary of State for Culture Lunacek and Minister of Culture that there were conversations with cultural workers contradict the Resetarits. No conversations had been held with the “five of the great theaters” in recent weeks.
Anger against the greens
The cabaret artist also explains that he doesn’t want the Greens to fly out of parliament. “They drive less than five percent, they don’t need me for that.” However, he only wanted her in parliament as an opposition party. “To rule at all costs and then not be able to do that and then be crushed, I don’t think it’s that much fun,” Resetarits said.
The little ones explain the anger towards the Greens, in contrast to the ÖVP, which also rules, that the industry is much closer to the Greens. In electoral times, artists were important as voters and supporters, “and now they are simply gone.”
The little ones do not literally ask Lunacek to resign as Secretary of State for Cultural Affairs because “it doesn’t matter.” “If you can’t fill the position in such a way that something really happens, it would be fine to go without the Secretary of State.”
Lunacek cancels
After the interview, moderator Armin Wolf said that Secretary of State Lunacek was originally invited to the studio to take a position, but she did not want to come.
