Perchtoldsdorf. In Perchtoldsdorf (Mödling district), a thief trapped in a family home shot a witness. No one was injured. According to the Lower Austria State Police Directorate, € 1,000 was awarded on Monday for references to the author. The State Criminal Police Office determined.
A neighbor had noticed a blaze at the Hochbergstrasse 21 home on Thursday night. Because, according to the police, he knew that the owner was not at home and that they had given him a key, the man verified. He noticed a dark-robed person in the living room and saw a snout flash immediately after. The witness fell to the ground and “was only beaten by unfortunate circumstances,” the criminals said.
The author fled through the patio door, where traces of theft were found, to the garden and then to Hochbergstrasse. He escaped undetected.
According to Poilizei, the crime scene was found to have been shot on a wall. A poorly deformed projectile was also secured. Investigators assume the caught thief “deliberately shot in the direction of the witness.”
Regarding the crime, the police requested information on Monday (tel.: 059 133 30 3333, Lower Austria State Criminal Police Office, permanent service or any other executive office). In particular, it concerns the perception of suspicious people or vehicles in the Hochbergstrasse area in Perchtoldsdorf (Tirolerhofsiedlung) on Thursday from 10 p.m. at 11 p.m.
