Corona Concert for Home Residents – Upper Austria

The crown crisis often causes problems, especially for older people in their homes. Until recently, visits were prohibited, which is stressful for many people.

Socialist councilor Birgit Gerstorfer (SPÖ) had come up with something for Mother’s Day to cheer on residents. With Hof concerts in every neighborhood in Upper Austria. The stations were, Hartkirchen, Andorf, Laakirchen, St. Georgen / Gusen. “It is important to me to do something good for many people in difficult times,” explains Gerstorfer.

Accompanied by local bosses and musicians, the regional councilor came to the homes. Residents were able to enjoy the concert from the balconies. Of course you couldn’t enter through Corona.

“Protective measures in homes are harsh and drastic, but they have saved the lives of many people. The virus has been delayed step by step,” said Gerstorfer.

The SPOÖ boss also wanted to thank the facility employees for the concerts. “Thank you for your efforts! Thank you for being there for the people!” He explained.

And it also supported a call for politics. “Fair pay with shorter work hours. Better working conditions and predictable time off. No one should do night work alone or have to intervene all the time,” said Gerstorfer.
