The identity of the dead was initially the subject of an investigation, the Salzburg State Police Directorate reported.
The car with the Czech registration number should have gone off the road on the so-called “Russenstrasse” around 11:00 p.m. He flipped over and crashed into a slope. The two occupants did not survive the accident.
It was not yet clear who they were. Details of the course of the accident had not yet been fully reconstructed, however, it is assumed that no second vehicle was involved, according to police.
