A 54-year-old Viennese woman fell so sadly as she ascended the so-called Eng just below the Knofelebenhütte that she contracted an open fracture in the lower leg. Due to the winds, the road is currently very difficult to pass in some places.
The woman was treated by a mountain rescuer from the local Reichenau office and then rescued by the C3 emergency medical helicopter and transported to the hospital.
