A new infection and seven other recoveries in 24 hours.

Innsbruck In Tirol, the number of people currently infected with the coronavirus fell below the 100 mark for the first time on Saturday night. While seven more people had recovered in the past 24 hours, there was only one other positive test result. This reduced the number of people currently ill to 99. The number of deaths remained stable at 107.

More recently, with less than 100 people infected in Tirol on March 11, Governor Günther Platter (ÖVP) was pleased with the positive development. However, he cautioned to keep the distance to a minimum and, if necessary, wear mouth and nose protection. “Tyrol is on a good path! Tyrol was badly affected by the coronavirus, so it was necessary for us to have particularly strict regulations,” Platter said.

The most infected were 28 years old in the state capital Innsbruck, followed by the Kufstein district with 23 currently ill. In the Landeck district most affected by the coronavirus for a long time, twelve people were still infected. In the two cities of St. Anton and Ischgl, which are considered hotspots, there were still three and one sick person, respectively.
