The Vienna State Department of Transport stopped a dangerous transport of dangerous goods in the federal capital on Friday.
Officials with the Dangerous Goods Control Group of the Vienna State Traffic Department were able to stop a truck with dangerous technical defects on Friday at 12 noon. The Polish tractor-trailer was loaded with a total of 18 tons of dangerous goods.

Incorrectly secured cargo
The cargo consisted of highly flammable, toxic and environmentally hazardous substances. During the course of the inspection, the police discovered massive tire damage. The fabric was already visible when the semi-trailer was fitted with tires. Furthermore, the cargo was not properly secured.
Registration withdrawn
Furthermore, the 51-year-old driver was unable to demonstrate any rest period and driving times had already been considerably exceeded. A total of 15 notices had to be submitted for dangerous goods and traffic law facts. The plates have been temporarily removed.
