Nikki Bella: she was raped as a teenager

Along with her twin sister Brie, Nikki Bella wrote her memoirs. Among other things, it also reveals that the expectant mother was raped multiple times as a teenager.

Twin sisters Nikki and Brie Bella (36, “Total Divas”) have published an autobiography, “Incomparable.” In it, former WWE wrestlers describe painful things from their past. Brie told the American magazine People: “We chose to be survivors and to be the heroines of our own history.” This includes the surprising fact that Nikki was raped twice as a teenager.

Nikki Bella: “I thought he was a friend”

Consequently, both incidents occurred during school hours. When she was 15, she was abused by a classmate “whom I thought was a friend” in high school, and a year later she drugged and committed a college student. In “Incomparable,” he writes, “If something like this happens to you, you understand the mentality of blaming the victim. It’s so easy to feel shame instead of anger, to think it might have stopped.”

Nikki Bella hopes that sharing her painful experience will help others in similar situations: “When that happened to me, I was immediately embarrassed and blamed myself.” She hopes that young women can have the courage not to blame themselves. Meanwhile, she has overcome the trauma.
