The Upper Austria state crisis team has reported the 71st death in the state in connection with the corona virus.
As of Tuesday at 12 noon, there are 737 active corona cases in Upper Austria. Of the 86 new cases, four are returning travelers and one follow-up case. The total number of corona cases returning from travelers increased to 730, including subsequent cases triggered (181) to 911 (survey period from June 24, 2020).
The number of cases at a parcel service provider in the Linz-Land district increased slightly again (117 cases in total, 56 company employees and 61 follow-up cases). On Tuesday, as part of a second series of tests, smears will be performed at the company.
The test of relevant contact persons (previously 200) in Meat processing plant in the Ried district resulted in a total of 47 employees testing positive. Around 100 more people are still being tested today. So far there are no follow-up cases in the area.
There are three new cases of corona in three homes for the elderly and elderly. During an AGES assessment at the facilities in Linz and the Perg and Rohrbach districts, 171 employees were tested, all results from the past week were negative. Five students from three schools in St. Martin / Traun, Schwertberg and Steyr also tested positive for Covid-19.
Call for corona cases on buses
Four passengers on the bus routes also tested positive. On September 18, from 7.03 to 7.27 hours, one was on bus route 15 with the entrance “Thalheim bei Wels – Schule” to “Wels – Wallerer Strae”. The second used line 483 the same day from Thalheim near Wels (7.15 am) to “Sattledt Schule” (7.31 am) and returned from 13.03 to 1.25 pm. The third took the 651 OVV line from “Grieskirchen Romarkt” to “Gaspoltshofen Ortsmitte” on September 17 at 2:33 pm, another on September 18 at 7:00 am from “Gaspoltshofen Ortsmitte” to “Grieskrichen Romarkt”.
People who have used the same bus routes during these times should closely monitor their health status and contact the 1450 Health Advisory Phone immediately if they experience symptoms such as shortness of breath, sore throat, upper respiratory tract inflammation , fever, dry cough, or sudden loss of taste / smell.
