There is a great interest in PCR tests at Vienna International Airport, around 70 tests were carried out at a price of 190 euros each.

The PCR tests for coronavirus that have been available at the Vienna airport since Monday morning were of great interest at first. About 70 tests were carried out on the first day, airport spokesman Peter Kleemann said at the request of the APA. About the same number was expected for Tuesday.

It was primarily the travelers who visited the laboratory on the ground floor of Office Park 3, Kleemann said. He spoke of arriving and leaving. “The service works without complaints and not only meets demand, but also contributes to security.”

PCR tests are not only open to passengers, but to anyone interested. Appointments are made directly to Confidence DNA Analyzes GmbH by phone (01/368 45 54) or by email ([email protected]). A throat swab is performed in the laboratory. The institution charges an amount of 190 euros for this private service.

Incidentally, the test lasts around three hours, more on this here.
