The situation of the crown in Austria is getting worse! Once again, there has been a sharp increase in new infections in the last 24 hours.
Health Minister Rudolf Anschober made it clear recently: if the crown numbers in Austria continue to rise this week, the lockdown “light” in Austria will tighten. And a tightening was announced on Tuesday! Starting Wednesday, stores are only open until 7pm
Yesterday, Monday there was no possible “explosion” of new infections with “only” 5,600 new cases, since experience has shown that fewer tests are carried out on the weekend than during the week, so this figure must be viewed with caution.
Instead, the next two days will be decisive, says simulation expert Niki Popper from the University of Vienna. According to Popper, he will see on “Tuesday or Wednesday” whether the tightening of the crown and the blockade are effective in Austria.
The numbers in detail
Noisy “Today”-Infos, the number of corona cases in the country has again increased significantly. So in the last 24 hours all over Austria 6,120 new infections reported. At the same time, another 45 deaths of infected people were known. As of today (November 10, 2020, 9:30 am), 1,499 people in Austria have died from the consequences of the coronavirus and 98,663 have recovered.
There was also a sharp increase in hospitals. In just one day, 299 people had to be admitted to the hospital and another 21 infected people received intensive care. Currently, 3,549 people are in hospital treatment due to the coronavirus and 495 of them are in intensive care units.
