From Monday to Tuesday there are 520 new positive PCR tests in Austria. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 30,081 people have tested positive for coronavirus. In Austria a total of 1,276,477 tests were carried out, an increase of 10,254 tests since Monday.
Today the Ministry’s figures were late. Among other things, this may have something to do with data cleansing in Vienna. In the federal capital, a total of 340 new cases were included in the coronavirus statistics in 24 hours.
According to the crisis team, some of these are older test results that have now been added, it said Tuesday. The average number of infections discovered has increased significantly in Vienna recently. At age 75 yesterday, Monday, she was well below average.
Late registrations
In the last seven days, 159 people tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 per day, in the previous week, according to the crisis team, there was an average of 127. Today’s figures are, among other things, late reports of the laboratories and a processing delay that resulted from the very high demand for tests and the very high number of identified contact persons.
After Vienna, Tyrol follows with 56 new infections. They are followed by Lower Austria (49), Upper Austria (27), Vorarlberg (18), Salzburg and Styria (10 each), Carinthia (6) and Burgenland (4).
