Since last Friday there have been 42 students who tested positive for Covid-19 and four teachers who tested positive, according to the regional education councilor’s office. In the previous week, the numbers were slightly higher: 48 students tested positive and five teachers.
In around 30 classes, students are currently learning from home because the students are in quarantine. “Distance learning is working very well now. Teachers and schoolchildren are already well-rehearsed teams and demonstrate how flexible the educational system can be ”, emphasize State Councilor for Education Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister and Director of Education Johann Heuras.
At the same time, the duo emphasize that the situation in the schools remains very challenging. “We also call on everyone involved to take into account all recommended hygiene rules, also outside of school operations, so that we can stop the spread of the virus together.”
