In Austria, 395 new SARS-CoV-2 infections were found within 24 hours per test, the Interior Ministry announced on Saturday morning. The day before there were 229 infections.
So far there have been 26,985 positive results in Austria. As of today (August 29, 2020, 9:30 am), 733 people in Austria have died from the consequences of the corona virus and 22,866 have recovered. 144 people are currently in hospital treatment for the coronavirus, 30 of them in intensive care units.

24.6 million SARS-CoV-2 infections
More than 24.6 million people around the world have been shown to be infected with the coronavirus. Around 833,000 people have died in connection with Covid-19 diseases. The United States continues to have by far the highest number of infections, followed by Brazil and India.
In Russia There were 111 more coronavirus-related deaths in 24 hours. This increased the total number of victims announced by the authorities to 17,025. Authorities in China announced nine new infections, as many as the day before. All those affected were travelers from abroad. For the thirteenth day in a row, no infections were reported in Germany. In the case of separately recorded infections in China with no symptoms of the disease, 10 new cases were reported after 16 cases the day before.
Argentina reported a new daily high of 11,717 new corona infections. Although the curfew has been extended, the government has announced that national protection measures will be relaxed. In the future, up to ten people can gather outdoors if they wear a mask and observe the rules of distance, as President Alberto Fernández explains in a televised address. So far, 392,009 SARS-CoV-2 infections have been confirmed in the South American country, of which 8,271 were fatal.
In Brazil the corona virus continues to spread rapidly. Authorities reported 43,412 new infections. This increased the number of infections with the virus registered nationally to more than 3.8 million in 24 hours, as announced by the Ministry of Health. The death toll increased by 855 from 119,504.
